Our streaming team is looking for an iOS developer.
The streaming team is responsible for all media streaming in TIDAL, this means that we are the ones who make the music play. We are a cross-functional and autonomous team consisting of client and backend developers working together in harmony to provide the best possible playback experience.
We are responsible for:
- Player UI
- Playback logic
- Content delivery
- Transcoding/Packaging/Encryption
As an iOS developer in the Streaming Team, you will work with the following:
- Audio and video playback.
- Different media player frameworks (AVPlayer, Shaka Player Embedded, etc)
- Player UI
- Various media formats, streaming technologies and content protection
- Software architecture
This might be for you if you:
- Have strong programming skills in Swift and a good understanding of Objective-C.
- Have deep understanding of iOS, its frameworks, and APIs
- Have a genuine interest in streaming media technologies
- Are comfortable in a fast-paced environment that continuously embraces the latest technologies and techniques
Relevant work experience is preferred, but we are also open to hiring smart graduates.
